What we have here is one of the icons of the Universal Horror Monsters, from THE CREATURE FROM THE BLACK LAGOON. Known as "Gill-Man" by afficionados, the original design of the Creature sprang from Millicent Patrick's classy-dame fingertips, ripped off here from IMDB.com:
